
The BP60 is a compact 5000mAh LiFePO4 battery pack built specifically for dash cam parking mode. It charges while you drive, then powers the camera independently when the vehicle is parked.

A conventional hardwire kit powers parking mode from the vehicle battery and protects it with a voltage cut-off. The BP60 takes a different approach: it stores energy while you drive and supplies the dash cam from its own battery once parked.




VIOFO's general estimates put a fully charged BP60 at around 20 hours with a single-channel camera, 16 hours with two channels and 12 hours with three channels. Exact runtime varies by camera, recording mode, settings and temperature.
The BP60 stores 64Wh of energy and takes over after the ignition is switched off. Runtime depends heavily on camera count and parking mode, which is why the figures below are best treated as planning estimates rather than guarantees.

Connect the BP60 to the vehicle fuse box using its supplied hardwiring power cable. Best suited to a clean permanent installation.

Use the supplied cigarette-lighter power cable when you want a simpler installation without wiring into the fuse box.

The bi-directional USB-C IN/OUT port accepts compatible USB-C PD charging and can also supply power to a phone or USB device.
Charge times are approximate and depend on available power, battery temperature and operating conditions. VIOFO specifies up to 60W input through the USB-C PD connection.
It is not just a generic power bank. The dedicated dash-cam outputs carry the ACC signal compatible VIOFO cameras use to move between normal driving recording and parking mode.
The BP60 can sit out of sight in the cabin while its dedicated dash-cam outputs provide both power and the ACC state needed for automatic parking-mode switching.

The BP60 uses lithium iron phosphate cells rather than a conventional consumer power-bank chemistry, with a built-in Battery Management System monitoring temperature and electrical conditions.
The internal pack is monitored for temperature and abnormal electrical conditions, with protection covering overheating, over-current, over-charge, over-discharge, over-voltage and short circuits.

Charging pauses when cell temperature is outside its safe charging range, while the app can warn of high or low temperature.

A conventional hardwire kit powers parking mode directly from the vehicle battery and uses a voltage cut-off to protect it. The BP60 is a separate battery: it charges while the vehicle is running and supplies the dash cam from its own stored energy while parked. That means parking recording is not drawing down the vehicle battery.
As a broad guide, VIOFO quotes around 20 hours for a 1-channel camera, around 16 hours for 2 channels and around 12 hours for 3 channels. Actual runtime depends on the camera model, parking-recording mode, settings, temperature and power consumption.
No. The BP60 includes its own output cables for supported parking-mode installations, so a separate VIOFO hardwire kit is not required between the BP60 and dash cam. If a hardwire kit is already connected to the vehicle battery, do not connect that kit directly to the BP60 output.
The dedicated OUTPUT port and DASHCAM USB-C port support the ACC signalling required for compatible VIOFO dash cams to switch into parking mode when used with the appropriate supplied cable. The general USB-C IN/OUT connection is a power connection and does not provide that ACC parking-mode signal.
VIOFO quotes approximately 45 minutes by hardwire, 65 minutes from a vehicle 12V socket and 85 minutes by USB-C with suitable power. Actual charge time varies with power availability, temperature and operating conditions.
Yes. The bi-directional USB-C IN/OUT port supports compatible USB-C PD charging, with VIOFO specifying up to 60W input. The same connection can also be used to power a phone or other compatible USB device.
It is designed and tested for VIOFO dash cams. Current USB-C models can use the supplied Type-C connections. Older mini-USB models such as the A119 V3, A129 Plus and A129 Pro require the appropriate optional mini-USB output cable.
The BP60 uses LiFePO4 cells and a Battery Management System. VIOFO specifies operation down to -20°C and up to 70°C. Charging is paused below 0°C to protect the cells, and the app can provide high- and low-temperature warnings. Install the pack away from direct sunlight wherever possible.
Yes. VIOFO specifies support for both 12V passenger vehicles and 24V commercial vehicles, subject to the input limits of the relevant hardwire or 12V-socket connection.
