The VS1 is a compact, screenless front camera built around the Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 sensor. It records 2K HDR at 30fps, adds dual-band Wi-Fi, direct USB-C phone transfer, GPS and voice control, and can rotate through 180° for flexible mounting.

You still get STARVIS 2 imaging, HDR, fast 5GHz Wi-Fi, GPS, voice control, Bluetooth remote support and three parking modes — just without a screen taking up windscreen space.

The VS1 uses Sony's 1/2.8-inch 5MP IMX675 with an F1.6, 140° lens. HDR at 2K 30fps helps balance bright and dark areas in the same frame, particularly around headlights, street lighting and shadow.
The VS1 records up to 2560×1440P at 30fps. The IMX675 sensor gives the camera more useful low-light performance than resolution alone can provide, while the 140° field of view keeps a broad section of the road in frame.

The IMX675 is a STARVIS 2 sensor with a wider dynamic range than the earlier STARVIS generation of the same pixel size. In practice, that gives the processing more useful information to work with when the road is dark or vehicles are moving through the frame.

The VS1 is only 1.31 × 1.23 × 3.03 inches and uses a 180° rotating bracket. That gives more freedom to hide it behind the rear-view mirror or use it in alternative positions where the vehicle layout suits.
The bracket allows the camera to rotate through 180°, so it can work on the front or rear windscreen, dashboard or rear deck. When mounting on a horizontal surface, use the image mirror and rotate settings in the app so the recording is correctly orientated.

There is no built-in display to compete for space or attention. Setup, live view and playback are handled through the VIOFO App, leaving the camera body focused on recording.

The VS1 supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi through the VIOFO App, plus direct USB-C phone transfer on compatible devices. GPS and voice control round out the screenless workflow.
Use 5GHz for faster preview and downloads when your phone supports it, with 2.4GHz available for broader compatibility.
A USB 2.0 Type-C to Type-C data connection can transfer files directly to compatible phones, with tested speeds up to 20MB/s on iPhone 15.
Location, speed and time data can be reviewed alongside downloaded recordings in the VIOFO App or on a computer.
Supported commands include locking video, taking a photo and switching Wi-Fi, while spoken notifications can flag settings and card errors.
Voice control is particularly useful on a small screenless camera because it avoids turning routine actions into a phone interaction. English, Chinese, Russian and Japanese voice control are supported.

Built-in GPS records location, speed and time information. Download the video before viewing GPS map data in the VIOFO App.

Parking recording needs the optional VIOFO HK5 hardwire kit so the camera has power after the ignition is switched off and can change automatically between driving and parking operation.

The official VS1 user guide covers the physical camera, app-led setup and day-to-day operation.
The VS1 is simple physically, but the details matter when choosing the memory card, parking kit and optional controls.

The practical differences between this compact front-only model and a larger screen-equipped camera.
Yes. Its maximum recording mode is 2560×1440P at 30fps, and HDR is supported at 2K 30fps.
No. The VS1 is intentionally screenless to keep the body small. Live view, settings, playback and downloads are handled through the VIOFO App.
Yes. The VS1 supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi. Use 5GHz when your phone supports it for faster local transfers.
Yes, with a compatible phone and USB-C data connection. Direct transfer has been tested at up to 20MB/s on iPhone 15; actual speed depends on the phone, cable and file.
The optional HK5 hardwire kit is required for automatic parking-mode operation. It provides continuous power and ignition-state detection so the VS1 can switch between normal and parking recording.
Auto Event Detection with buffered recording, Time-Lapse Recording and Low Bitrate Recording.
The VS1 supports microSD cards up to 512GB. A 32GB VIOFO card is included with the current UK package.
Yes. The CPL-400 filter is the VS1-specific optional polariser, and the optional BTR200 Bluetooth remote is supported for convenient manual event locking.
Yes. The 180° rotating bracket allows alternative mounting positions, including rear-windscreen or horizontal-surface installations. Use the image mirror and rotate settings when the orientation requires it.
