Best for: driving instructors, taxi and private-hire, ride-share, ambulance, any vehicle where what happens inside matters as much as outside. Lead models: A329S 3CH · A229 Ultra 3CH · A229 Pro 3CH
Best for: long-distance drivers and fleets needing a clear plate read on a vehicle far ahead. Lead models: A329T 2CH · A229 Pro Tele 2CH

For driving instructors and approved driving schools, a 3-channel VIOFO does something a one-channel camera can't: it captures the road, the mirrors and the cabin together.
Every lesson becomes reviewable footage — the moment a learner missed an observation, drifted on a bend, or absolutely nailed a tricky junction. Cabin audio plus front and rear video means the post-lesson chat is no longer "I think you…" — it's "watch this bit again."
For ADIs running their own business, that same footage is also evidence in the rare event of a complaint, a collision, or a dispute on test day.
Recommended configuration: 3-Channel (Front + Rear + Cabin) Lead models: A329S 3CH · A229 Ultra 3CH · A229 Pro 3CH (built specifically with rideshare and instructors in mind)

Vans are where most "front and rear" dash cam setups fall apart. The bulkhead means a standard rear camera mounted on the inside of a window can't see what's behind you. The roller door or solid back doors finish the job.
The answer is a waterproof rear camera — IP67-rated, mounted externally above the rear doors, looking straight back at the road. We supply the cable in flexible lengths so the run from cab to rear door pillar can be hidden along the headliner without compromise. The result is a proper view of what's behind a long, blind van — not a view of your own bulkhead.
Recommended configuration: Front + Waterproof Rear (or 3-Channel with waterproof rear if you also want cabin coverage of deliveries and stops) Lead models: A229 Ultra-W 2CH · A329SW 2CH · A229 Pro-W 3CH

Taxi and private-hire drivers are out longer hours, in more demanding conditions, and dealing with more public interaction than almost any other road user.
A 3-channel setup with a cabin-facing camera does two things at once: it gives you front-and-rear protection on the road, and it adds a layer of safety inside the vehicle — discouraging fare disputes, abuse, and giving the driver objective evidence in the rare cases something does go wrong.
Many of our taxi and private-hire customers also fit the cabin camera with infrared night-vision so passenger interactions are still recorded clearly after dark, with the driver's permission notice clearly displayed.
Recommended configuration: 3-Channel (Front + Rear + Cabin / IR) Lead models: A229 Pro 3CH · A329S 3CH · A329S 2CH IR

VIOFO works directly with police forces and emergency-services operators around the world on bespoke firmware builds — tailored recording behaviours, retention windows, parking modes and authentication tuned to operational requirements rather than consumer defaults. This includes work with the Metropolitan Police here in the UK.
If you're a force, ambulance trust, fire service or specialist operator with specific recording, encryption or chain-of-evidence requirements, we can route enquiries directly to VIOFO's engineering team to scope a firmware-level solution alongside the right hardware.
Recommended configuration: Use-case dependent. We'll spec to brief.

Mixed fleets are messy: a few sales cars, a handful of vans, the odd 3.5-tonne flatbed, maybe a couple of HGVs. The trick is matching the right channel configuration to each vehicle without ending up with five different brands of camera and five different apps.
VIOFO's range is built so the same app, the same firmware logic and the same accessory ecosystem scales from a 1-channel sales-car install up to a 3-channel HGV with dual waterproof rears. Memory cards, hardwire kits, GPS modules, mounts — they're consistent across the range, which keeps the fleet manager sane and keeps replacement parts predictable.
Recommended configuration: Mixed — typically 2-channel for cars, 2- or 3-channel waterproof for vans, 3-channel heavy-duty for HGVs. Lead models: A229 Pro 2CH · A229 Pro-W 3CH · A329WW 3CH

Plant, agricultural and engineering vehicles operate where consumer cameras simply give up — vibration, dust, mud, extremes of temperature, irregular power supply.
The supercapacitor architecture of VIOFO cameras handles the heat and on/off cycles a tractor or telehandler puts them through, and waterproof rear cameras with long, flexible cable runs make it possible to fit articulated machines, trailed implements and box-bodied site vehicles.
For agricultural operators, the same footage that protects the vehicle on the road also helps with field-work documentation — route, time-on-task and incident footage, all with GPS data baked in.
Recommended configuration: Front + Waterproof Rear, with extended cable runs. Lead models: A229 Ultra-W series · A329WW 3CH

Autonomous-driving development relies on enormous volumes of high-quality, real-world driving footage — the data that trains perception models, validates edge cases and benchmarks safety performance.
VIOFO is already supplying that footage at scale through partnerships with major mobility and autonomy programmes — including Baidu, often described as China's Google and one of the world's most active players in autonomous driving.
If you're an OEM, university research group, mapping company or autonomy startup needing reliable, high-resolution capture across a research fleet, we can route enquiries to VIOFO's R&D team.
The single biggest commercial advantage in the VIOFO range is the IP67-rated waterproof rear camera. It's the one component that turns "a dash cam" into a genuine fit-for-purpose tool for vans, pickups, trucks, trailers, agricultural and engineering vehicles.
What makes it work for commercial use:
The single biggest commercial advantage in the VIOFO range is the IP67-rated waterproof rear camera. It's the one component that turns "a dash cam" into a genuine fit-for-purpose tool for vans, pickups, trucks, trailers, agricultural and engineering vehicles.
We're seeing more and more commercial enquiries for setups that don't quite fit a retail box — a single-camera unit with an unusual cable length, a non-standard rear cam pairing, a 3-camera build for an oversized vehicle, or a unit pre-configured for a specific fleet's parking-mode requirements.
Where it makes sense, we'll build to your spec. We supply the core camera and put the rest of the configuration — cable lengths, mount choices, additional rear units, hardwire options — together around the job rather than the standard retail packaging. It's not a full configurator yet, but if you've got a vehicle or fleet that doesn't fit the standard catalogue, talk to us early and we'll tell you what we can do.
Whether you're spec'ing a single instructor car, fitting twenty vans across a depot, or scoping a bespoke build for a specialist fleet — a five-minute call usually saves a lot of guessing.
