Rear coverage

A straightforward 1080P HDR rear channel for A229 Plus and Pro.

RC320 uses a Sony STARVIS 2 IMX662 sensor and AHD connection to provide a lower-cost rear-camera option while retaining HDR for difficult lighting.

HDR helps when the car behind is the brightest thing in the frame.

The 1080P rear camera uses HDR to manage bright headlights and darker road areas, preserving more useful rear-facing detail than a simple single-exposure image.

Six metres of cable for a normal front-to-rear run.

Fix the module to the inside of the rear windscreen using the supplied 3M pad and route the 6m cable forward to the A229 Plus or A229 Pro front unit.

RC320 is not compatible with A329S. It is the 1080P/AHD option; RE200 is the sharper 2K Type-C rear module for compatible A229 systems.

Can this camera work on its own?

No. This is a secondary camera module designed to connect to the compatible VIOFO main dash cam.

Can I use it with a different VIOFO model if the plug looks the same?

Do not assume so. Secondary-camera protocols and cabling differ between product families. Match the exact compatibility stated on this page.

Is this camera waterproof?

Only models explicitly described as IP67 waterproof are intended for external mounting. Interior/rear-window and cabin modules should remain inside the vehicle.
