The HK3 connects a compatible VIOFO dash cam to permanent and ignition-switched vehicle power, allowing the camera to change automatically between driving and parking operation while a selectable low-voltage cut-off protects the vehicle battery.

A119 V3 and compatible A129-series models using the HK3 connection
The HK3 connects permanent Battery+, switched ACC and Ground at the fuse box, then supplies the compatible camera through its Mini-USB power connection.
When the ignition is switched off, the ACC signal allows a compatible VIOFO dash cam to enter its configured parking mode automatically. Normal recording resumes when the vehicle starts again.

The control module monitors vehicle voltage while parking power is in use. If the battery reaches the selected threshold, the HK3 stops supplying the camera to reduce the risk of excessive discharge.

The kit accepts 12–24V vehicle input. Correct fuse identification and safe cable routing remain important, so use a professional installer if you are not comfortable testing permanent and switched circuits.

The cable runs from the vehicle fuse box behind the trim to the camera. Fuse layouts vary by vehicle, so verify Battery and ACC circuits with the vehicle documentation and suitable test equipment.

The permanent feed powers parking recording, while ACC tells the camera whether the ignition is on so it can switch operating modes automatically.
It stops drawing from the vehicle battery when voltage falls to the selected threshold, helping preserve enough charge to start the vehicle.
No. Match the exact hardwire-kit model to the dash cam. Parking features and power signalling differ between VIOFO families.
