The transparent film clings to the glass by static electricity. Your dash-cam adhesive mount then sticks to the film, making later repositioning much cleaner.
Choose a clear position within the wiper sweep and remove dust, grease and fingerprints before applying the film.
Peel the protective layer, press the film flat against the glass and work out any trapped bubbles.
Apply the camera's adhesive mount to the static sticker and press firmly for a secure bond.
The static film can be peeled from the glass without adhesive residue and can be reused if it is kept clean and protected.
