The CPL-100 polarising filter is shaped for A119 V2 / V3 / Mini 2 / A119M Pro and A129 Duo / Pro Duo / Plus Duo front cameras. It reduces reflections from glass and dashboard surfaces and also provides a physical layer over the camera lens.

The CPL-100 polarising filter is designed to reduce reflections from glass, road surfaces and other shiny surfaces while retaining natural light and useful contrast.
Reflections from the dashboard and windscreen can wash detail out of bright footage. A polarising filter suppresses much of that reflected light, improving clarity, contrast and colour saturation in suitable conditions.
As well as controlling reflected light, the filter helps shield the dash-cam lens from fingerprints, dust, dirt and minor contact. VIOFO uses a scratch- and dust-resistant coating designed to be easy to clean on its current CPL range.

It reduces reflected light from the windscreen and dashboard, which can improve usable contrast in bright conditions. As with any polariser, it also reduces some incoming light.
No. The filter housings differ by camera and secondary-camera design. Match the CPL number to the supported camera.
It can remain fitted, but a polarising filter reduces some light. If maximum low-light sensitivity is the priority, compare footage with and without it.
