HK6 is designed around newer VIOFO parking features, with modular cabling, voltage reporting and low-power operation alongside the usual ACC switching and battery protection.
The input and output leads detach from the HK6 control module. That makes cable routing easier during installation and means the module can be changed without necessarily removing the whole cable run.
HK6 broadcasts the vehicle battery voltage over Bluetooth without a manual pairing process. Supported VIOFO cameras can read that value and display it in the recorded video for real-time monitoring.
With the A329S series, HK6 can support Hybrid Parking Mode, allowing the system to move between normal parking recording and Low-Power Impact Detection according to the configured cut-off voltage and cut-off time.
HK6 provides four selectable cut-off voltages and is rated at no more than 300μA when the dash cam is off. With A329S Low-Power Impact Detection, the stated test measured 0.24W standby consumption (20mA at 12V) in an A329S 3CH test.
Set the HK6 threshold to suit the vehicle and installation. Once the battery reaches that threshold, the kit stops supplying power to the dash cam to help preserve starting capacity.
