RE200 uses the Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 sensor to record 2560×1440P HDR video from the rear window, rather than pairing a high-end front camera with a lower-spec rear sensor.
HDR balances bright and dark areas in the same rear-facing scene, helping retain useful plate and vehicle detail when following traffic has bright headlights or the road behind falls into shadow.
Connect the supplied 6m Type-C cable to an A229 Plus or A229 Pro front unit and mount the camera inside the rear windscreen. Compatible systems detect the added rear channel automatically.
