A229 Ultra systems supporting RWE800.
Viofo Waterproof Rear Camera accessory.
£99.95
A 4K HDR IP67 waterproof rear camera for A229 Ultra, using Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 imaging and an F1.5 lens for external rear mounting.
A229 Ultra systems supporting RWE800.
RWE800 combines a Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 8MP sensor, true 4K HDR, an F1.5 aperture and IP67 weather protection in an exterior-mounted rear camera.
The large F1.5 aperture lets more light reach the IMX678 sensor, helping the waterproof rear camera retain cleaner detail in darker road scenes while HDR manages bright headlights and daytime contrast.
RWE800 can mount externally on the tailgate, bumper or near the number plate. That makes it particularly useful on vans, pickups, trucks and vehicles with heavily tinted rear glass.
No. This is a secondary camera module designed to connect to the compatible VIOFO main dash cam.
Do not assume so. Secondary-camera protocols and cabling differ between product families. Match the exact compatibility stated on this page.
Only models explicitly described as IP67 waterproof are intended for external mounting. Interior/rear-window and cabin modules should remain inside the vehicle.
