A229 Pro combines 4K STARVIS 2 front imaging with the A229 platform's 5GHz Wi‑Fi, direct USB 2.0 phone transfer, voice control, GPS and buffered parking modes.
The Pro range is built around the 8MP IMX678 front sensor and adds connected control, direct transfer and parking support around it.

The Pro steps up from the Plus by using Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 at the front for native 4K recording, while supported secondary road cameras use IMX675 for native 2K.
The interior camera uses the IMX307 2MP sensor with a 150° field of view and HDR support.
The IMX678 front sensor and HDR work together to keep more usable information around bright headlights, shadows and reflective plates.

The A229 family combines dual-band Wi‑Fi, direct USB 2.0 transfer on supported models, voice control, built-in GPS and optional Bluetooth remote control.
Connect through the VIOFO App for live view, settings, playback and downloads. The 5GHz band is the faster option for larger files; 2.4GHz remains available for compatibility.
Use a USB 2.0 Type-C to Type-C data cable with a compatible phone. The same direct connection can also be used for firmware updates. The phone must support USB data and 5V / 2A output.
Start recording, take a photo and switch Wi‑Fi using supported voice commands; spoken notifications report settings and memory-card errors.
Location, speed and time are recorded with the journey.
One press protects the current clip; two side buttons can be configured as shortcuts.

The A229 platform uses three established parking modes rather than the newer A329 Hybrid/Low-Power system.
