Mini Size
The A119 Mini inherits the wedge-shaped design similar to the A119 V3 and A129 series, which also is a preference for many users as it hugs the windscreen and is far less obtrusive than dash cams which hang down on suction mounts. More surprisingly, the A119 Mini is built into an even smaller shell with dimensions of 46mm x 41.5mm x 74.5mm, which looks slightly larger than your car key. Thanks to this innovative mini size, you can easily tuck it away behind a rear-view mirror and it’ll be out of your sight, distraction-free.
Built-in Sony STARVIS Image Sensor
With a Sony STARVIS IMX335 sensor built-in, the A119 Mini supports max res of 2560x1440P at 60fps brings a greater capability to capture license plates of fast-moving cars with a video quality looks super crisp and smooth.
A list of resolution options is as below:
- 2560x1600P 30fps, 2560x1440P 60fps / 30fps,
- 2560x1080P 60fps / 30fps, 2304x1296P 30fps,
- 1920x1080P 60fps / 30fps
On top of the sensor, the A119 Mini uses a f/1.6 lens with a 140° field of view to cover multiple lanes without image cuts or stretches, restoring rich details in a real way.
5Ghz & 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi Connection
Different from the A119 V3 which supports setting changes in the dashcam only, the A119 Mini is available to operate on both the dashcam and smartphone end. Offering dual bands 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz Wi-Fi, you may choose either way that is most compatible with your phone. The 5Ghz Wi-Fi band is 4 times faster in data transfer than conventional 2.4Ghz. With Wi-Fi properly connected, you can easily live view, download, and share the videos on the VIOFO App.
Super Night Vision
The built-in STARVIS Sensor has back-illuminated pixel technology that helps capture images in the low light environment with details such as colors, shapes, and textures of the objects, which conventional front-illuminated image sensors are unable to. Partnered with the F1.6 aperture lens that lets in 26.5% more light than regular F1.8, the A119 Mini perfectly records critical info on the road in extremely low light conditions and even in total darkness to be your reliable witness on the road day and night.
Voice Notification
The A119 Mini is built with voice notifications in multiple languages to inform the driver about important events, such as “Recording started” and “Video protected”, and also to confirm actions on button presses, such as “Wi-Fi connected” and “Voice recording enabled”. This allows drivers to keep their eyes on the road instead of becoming distracted by checking the dash camera.
3 Parking Surveillance Modes
With HK4 hardwire kit installed, A119 Mini starts parking recording automatically with engine turned off.
Three parking recording modes are available for selection as below:
1.Auto event detection:
The A119 Mini supports buffered parking recording which records for 45 seconds while a moving object is detected during parking, and it will stop recording if there are no new movements.
2. Time lapse recording:
Time-lapse recording capture moments with frames at 1 / 2 / 3 / 5 / 10 fps. It keeps recording continuously without audio recorded.
3. Low bitrate recording:
This mode records video continuously at low bitrate 4MB/s in mini file size with audio recorded to largely improve memory card storage efficiency .
Notice: The HK4 hardwire kit is an optional accessory for purchase and must be installed correctly into the vehicle to launch parking recording.
GPS Logger
The A119 Mini has built-in GPS logger to track speed, time and driving route into the video file, which are all additional critical info for an insurance claim or simply to go against police misconducts.
Bluetooth Remote Control
The A119 Mini can be controlled remotely by pairing with a Bluetooth control which can be placed at any convenient location as you desire. One simple press immediately locks current important footage from being over written without taking eyes off the road.
CPL
An optional CPL (circular polarizing lens) filter can be added on A119 Mini to remove glares from windshield and also reflections coming from road & vehicle surfaces.
